Text Box: Dawes Hernhill Herons Under 10’s Probably the smallest squad at Hernhill The team is managed and coached by 2 dads who both got roped into running the side when they were Under 7’s, a combination that have stuck together through thick and thin, not only are they Coaches but also Best Mates, who seem to know what each other is thinking on a Saturday Morning.Big Malc, is probably the most vocal of coaches, he spent his younger years as an athlete and competed in multiple events, he represented his School, and also Kent Schools in the English Schools Athletics Events.The discovery of beer forced Malcy to change from Athletics to Rugby where he still plays on a regular basis. (Nicknamed Crazy Horse, for some of his charging runs)Alan is the quieter one of the pairing; he has been involved in the club for many years, and has a passion for Motorbikes and Formula 1 racing. Al likes nothing more than watching his boys, motocross racing. Alan has many interest and hobbies, but those are best kept off the website as not to incriminate him.The majority of this team have been together since they were Under 7’s; in their first year together they reached the league cup final, losing out to Herne Bay. Under 8’s this was a good year for this side that developed as a team, they finished the Season in the runners up spot, after only losing one game.  Under 9’s this was by far the best season for this side, the finished the season in top spot, unbeaten and only conceded 4 goals    UNDER 8
