DAWES HERNHILL HERONS JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB  "HOME PAGE"

   LEAGUE WEBSITE

Text Box: Welcome to the web site for the "DAWES HERNHILL HERONS"

On these pages you will find details of the club and the teams, information about our coaches, social events and sponsors.
We have also included links to other sites which we think will be useful for parents and children.

We are a friendly and forward looking club who provide a safe and supportive environment where local children can learn about football and take part in organised matches.

Training sessions or league and cup matches take place on a Saturday morning - typically between 10:00 and 11.30am. Training is organised on the basis of age and our experienced volunteer coaches plan and run a variety of exercises to develop skills in a fun and encouraging way. Some of the coaches hold FA qualifications and others are working towards their qualifications.

Typically each training session finishes with a match which is followed by presentations for the player of the week trophies which the children keep and treasure until the following weekend.

Training and matchday subs are £2.00 per child. We train throughout the year with only a short two or three week break at Christmas.

There are around 100 children registered with the club or which around 70 come along and enjoy training on a regular basis. Children are mostly aged between 5 and 12 years old.

For season 2005/2006 we entered 6 teams into the Faversham and District Junior Friendly Series leagues. These teams covered Under 7s (Year 2), Under 8s, U9s, U10s and U11s. The league also organised a cup competition for member teams.

Our facilities are the envy of other local clubs. We have almost exclusive use of the playing fields and changing rooms, a ball per child, enough goals to support four or more separate age based training sessions as well as the usual training aids such as speed ladders, reaction belts, cones, poles & bibs.
